The Dive Center
Minutes from our shore, the reefs of Portobelo National Park open onto boulder formations and sand channels, soft corals in red, yellow and amber, barrel sponges and gorgonians. Nurse sharks rest in the sand. Schools of blue chromis, snappers and groupers move through the reef, alongside trumpet fish, spotted drums, angelfish and spiny lobster.
And below it all, history. The dive sites lie near the Royal Customs House of Portobelo, where the gold and silver of the Americas was once weighed and stored before crossing to Spain — and the remains of a sunken Spanish galleon still rest beneath the surface, a rare, quiet glimpse into the colonial Caribbean.

The water here is warm enough to dive in a rash guard — 83°F (28°C) from the surface down to 90 feet — and the sites are close: five minutes by boat, forty-five at most. We focus on recreational diving between 50 and 110 feet.
Whether it’s your first breath underwater or your hundredth dive, our team shapes the experience around you.
Certification
We certify divers from age 10. Juniors aged 10-11 dive to 40 feet, 12-14 to 60 feet, and from 15 you’re eligible for full Open Water certification.
We focus on Open Water and Advanced Open Water, and can teach every PADI level.
Equipment & conditions
Every dive runs on ScubaPro equipment, with Nitrox and clean-air systems available for those who want to extend their bottom time, and underwater scooters for divers who prefer to cover more ground on a single tank.
The water welcomes divers year-round — April through October brings the best conditions, when the sea settles and the reef is at its clearest.
Behind all of it sits the part that matters most and shows the least: every one of our professionals is trained in first aid, and oxygen travels with us on every boat, on every dive.
