CHEF’S GARDEN DISCOVERY

DISCOVER WHERE ORDOVICIAN’S FLAVORS BEGIN

Step into Ordovician’s working Chef’s Garden on Isla Grande, where part of our culinary story begins long before anything reaches the plate. Herbs, vegetables and flowers are grown on the island and harvested with the seasons, moving from garden to kitchen in a matter of hours.

Depending on the season, the garden may reveal heirloom tomatoes, butterfly pea, winged beans, red okra, specialty cucumbers, herbs and edible flowers, alongside a hydroponic system that supplies several varieties of lettuce throughout the year.

FROM THE GARDEN TO THE TABLE

The garden is not simply something to look at. What grows here becomes part of the way Ordovician cooks.

The harvest changes with the weather and the season, allowing our kitchens to work with ingredients at their freshest. Herbs, vegetables and flowers can travel from the soil to the kitchen in a matter of hours, bringing the island directly into the dishes served across the resort.

Walking through the garden offers a closer look at our garden-to-table philosophy — and makes it possible to recognize some of those same ingredients later at the table.
