The character of the journey changes as you move through the waters of Portobelo. Around Monkey Island, wildlife becomes part of the experience, while the Natural Pools reveal calm, clear water sheltered by mangroves — a striking contrast to the open Caribbean.

The route continues through the quieter mangrove passages of the Tunnel of Love and around Cabra Island, before reaching Isla Mamey, where the landscape opens again to a Caribbean beach setting and nearby snorkeling areas.

Together, the journey reveals the diversity of Portobelo from the water: tropical islands, mangroves, wildlife, protected waters and the unmistakable colors of the Caribbean, all within one morning of exploration from Ordovician.
